Our Medical Specialists –
The People Behind the VitalKey

As you’ll learn if you invest a few minutes here, the VitalKey technology is great, but it’s only a small part of what you’re really getting as a VitalKey Holder.

The service - and the people behind it is what make the VitalKey unique. Without the service, it can’t work, and we are continually seeking great people to contribute to the cause.

For doctors to trust the information on your VitalKey (or any portable medical record), they must first understand that a trained third-party – not you the patient – assembled the information from actual records created by doctors. Anything else is just your “medical diary.”

So we do the work for you through a team of Medical Specialists, people trained to understand medical documentation and speak with you about your medical history. These are the folks you speak with when you order your VitalKey, and these are the folks who will call you every few months to be sure that your VitalKey stays up-to-date.

As you might imagine, a nurse with a great personality makes an outstanding Medical Specialist.

This team is lead by Heather. She’s a nurse, the wife of a family physician, and the mother of two boys – one of whom has special medical needs. She understands the problem we’re trying to solve for people, and she and her team do a splendid job with the VitalKey Holders whose lives they touch.

Meet Heather – Our Senior Medical Specialist

Heather is our Senior Medical Specialist. She leads our Medical Specialist team – and manages to infect the group with her compassion and organizational skills. She is an intensive care nurse, the wife of a family physician, and the mother of two boys – one of whom has had some special medical needs.

Meet Janice – Physician Assistant

Janice is the latest addition to our team of Medical Specialists. She is a physician’s assistant and the mother of three kids. What’s exciting for us about her joining our team is that she learned about the VitalKey (and the opportunity to get involved) by being a VitalKey Holder.

She got her Family VitalKey through her family physician’s office, and her interest grew from her first-hand experience with the movement.
